Monthly Harinaam Fest evolving into MSF


- Kirtan team was formed in Radha Govinda ashram, Toongabie from scratch. At that time only 1-2 devotees were leading Kirtan and playing Mridanga.
- Many of the youths were encouraged and inspired to lead Kirtan. Now the youth do regular Kirtans, sing in long Abhishek Kirtan as well. Also, Vaishnava Bhajans happen fortnightly at Rouse Hill Centre.
- Singers to sing Sunday feast Arati songs were co-ordinated. Kirtan leader used to practice with the upcoming singers personally to bring them up to speed.
- Monthly Harinaam is organized in various Western suburbs and also we did Harinaam in Bondi Beach. Participants look very colorful wearing garlands and matajis hold dancing fans.
- We did Harinaam in our regional retreat 2020 at Moree, NSW with 40 devotees.
- Daily Online Kirtan was initiated in the beginning of COVID March 2020 with local, national and international singers.
- HKCCC Facebook page fan following went up to 4500 from 230 in just 3 months.
- Kirtan team does Kirtan in Sydney’s events organized by Hindu council.
Prasadam





- Kitchen started from scratch in 2019 in Toongabie ashram
- We were outsourcing because lack of resources
- After 2019 we are making prasadam ourselves and outsourcing was stopped
- Hired a commercial kitchen from Sep 2020
- Started distribution of prasadam which has helped in growing the congregation – started with 100 plates and now distributing 200 plates every week on Sunday feast and 300 plates on festivals
- Training Chefs and growing volunteer base for upcoming Temple kitchen
- Future plan for Meals on Wheels – Major source of income for the Temple
- Currently can cater for 500 plates every Sunday / Festivals
- During Covid we home delivered 3000 plates of Prasadam over 5 festivals)
